Always a fan favorite, the Porsche 911. Although, the 996 might be one of the least favorite of the purist but I do not discriminate against any of the rear-engine beauties. This Carrera 4 has the factory Aerokit installed and Sport Design wheels for a very period correct look on the 16,000 mile car. Similar to the SL550, just a wash and reapplication of wax is all that is needed to maintain this beauty until next year.

Dave is a good friend and I always enjoy seeing him and his 1986 911, which you may remember from about two years ago when I first detailed it. Earlier this year, the car was hit by a deer and the repair work was less than expected by Dave and without going into a lot of detail, it was my job to make it presentable again. There are still a few areas that are beyond my job description but I did the best I could to make it shine like a diamond.
Dave also asked me to remove the original Carrera badge from the deck lid and correct behind it and install a new one. Anyone that has cleaned a Porsche with his badge on it knows that it is a terrible space to clean and Porsche black is the worst to work with.
The pictures do a lot of the speaking for me: I did a three step polish and then finished the paint with Optimum Car Wax. Dave also asked to have the wheels coated to help with the maintenance of the polished lips. Bare metal will tarnish in the elements because there is no protective finish to protect from the elements. Solution? Polish it, prep it, and coat with Opti-Metal Coat for a lifetime coating! Now the wheels can just be washed without polishing. Easy!
Thanks again Dave. The car will look great in Winter hibernation!

Mike brought me his 911 to be cleaned up and to address a scratch on his door. The car was coated with Opti-Coat Pro+ about a year ago and it is still holding up and looking fantastic. Maintenance is very easy and I use Optimum Power Clean (3:1) in a foam cannon and Optimum FerreX sprayed on the wheels (and right behind the wheels from possible tar that might fling up). Then Optimum No Rinse is used to wash and Opti-Coat Hyper Seal to dry and seal up the car.
The scratch was removed and the area was recoated. This car continues to look amazing and I loving seeing it out in the wild on the streets. Thanks again Mike!
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S - Coating
Michael had brought me his E46 BMW M3 for a Dull Detail, his 2017 Audi S6 for Opti-Coat Pro+, and now it was time to bring his newly acquired 997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S in for a light correction and Opti-Coat Pro+, Opti-Glass Pro, and Opti-Guard Leather/Fabric.
I learn a lot with this vehicle mainly because of how newer Porsche black is to work with. It is very soft and this causes you to polish it differently. I was able to removed a lot of the oxidation on the car, which can be seen in the first photo because the previous owner had a clear bra on the front end for protection. I also removed the factory rear fender stone guards and replaced them with Opti-Coat PPF in the same shape.
The interior fabric and leather also were coated to help maintain the cleanliness and to prevent fading from harmful UV rays. The Glass was coated with Opti-Glass Pro for chemical and water resistance for about two years.
Looking forward to seeing this car out and about, as well as back in my garage any time! Thanks Michael, enjoy!

Porsche. Love them or hate them, there is no in between. I love them and always will. I had a brief employment at a small VW, Audi, and Porsche shop and I learned a ton in that short time about Porsche. Having driven several, it made me appreciate them even more. I have known David for a few years and his '86 Carrera. It is hard not to take notice of his car because it appears to be a 911 Turbo. This Carrera had a Turbo rear clip installed back in the early 90s and I love the look of it (what's not to love?!).
David wanted to get some swirls and minor scratches taken out of the paint and refreshed as much as possible with a Full Detail. This paint was a definite challenge for me as some of it was very hard paint and some was very soft. I wasn't able to get the paint back to 100%, but I got it very, very close. Once all compounded and polished, the entire car was waxed with Optimum Car Wax and then sealed with Opti-Seal. This will give about 6 months of protection from harmful UV rays and make cleaning much easier. The tires were dressed with Opti-Bond tire gel, also giving UV protection to the rubber.
Once cleaned, I took the car for some photos and boy was I happy with the outcome of the detail and the photos. I cannot wait to see this car back in the future.
