I had mentioned before that my parents have a raw copper kettle that was given to them over 30 years ago as a wedding gift and since it is raw metal, it is prone to oxidation. My mom was tired of polishing it all the time, even with Optimum Metal Polish, so I brought it home and after polishing it, coated it with Opti-Metal Coat. It's a lifetime metal coating for finished or raw metals that can withstand up to 1,000º F. No more need for her to polish!
Elivia brought her 2008 Volkswagen Golf R32 but for a light correction, headlamp restoration, and coating with Optimum Gloss Coat. This car was in good condition for being nine years old but only having 60,000 miles helps. The faded headlamps are an eye sore and makes it hard to see at night so after a restoration, it was important to coat the lens to ensure they won't fade again. All the exterior glass was coated with Opti-Glass Pro to help with water and chemical resistance for about 2 years, similar to Optimum Gloss Coat on the paint.
All in all, this car looked as close to new! Thanks Elivia!
Adam brought in his 2017 Audi S3 for Optimum Gloss Coat and Opti-Glass Pro to make sure it looks as good as it can for as long as possible and of course adding UV, chemical, and water resistance! Alex has brought me his Golf R many times and when it came time to buy a new exhaust for it, it was a no brainer that he wanted the best protection for the tips. Many new cars today have direct fuel injection and while this is great for performance, it causes a mess on the intake valves and the exhaust tips. Having a lifetime permanent metal coating on these AWE Tuning tips will help them look like new for a very long time and will make them much easier to clean. Also, in case you are wondering, the metal coating is good up to 1,000º F!
Gage brought in his R32 Skyline GT-R for paint correction and Opti-Coat Pro+, which is now the most interesting car that has been brought to me. For those that do not know, these cars never came to the US and haven't been able to be imported until recently. These are right hand drive, all-wheel drive, and have a twin turbo six cylinder. Pretty damn cool. The car had been repainted a while ago and whoever painted it did a very good job. There are some indentations in the paint that could not be removed but the paint was easily brought back to life before coating. Now, OPT will not warranty the coating because of the age of the paint but I will be honoring the 7 years that would normally be honored. Seven years of UV, chemical, and water resistance to keep this rare piece of history looking great!
