It has been one year since Eric first brought his Golf R to me for a full detail and it was only fitting that he would bring it back, but this time for Optimum Gloss Coat! This is a ceramic coating from Optimum Polymer Technologies that lasts 2-3 years and provides UV, chemical, and water resistance. This is a perfect coating for those who are leasing a vehicle or is on a budget and still wants protection and gloss. I also put on some Opti-Glass Pro for 2 years of protection. Thanks Eric!
Back to back Alltracks! It is no secret that I love vehicles in white and this was no exception. This Alltrack only has 2,000 miles on it and got a quick polish, dealer badge removal, b-pillar refresh, and coating of Opti-Coat Pro+. This will help keep this Alltrack look as new as possible for 7 years with UV, chemical, and water resistance.
My parents were down for a visit and I gave their new Alltrack a basic wash and sealant as a mother's day gift. This car was "coated" with a teflon coating by the dealership they bought it from before sitting in the showroom. These types of coatings are commonly sold at dealerships and in my eyes are a total waste of money. They rarely provide the protection that is promised and rarely for the time advertised. You can see here that there are no hydrophobic properties after a decontamination of the hood only months after installation. Thankfully, my parents did not pay for this (they know better...I mean, I am their son) and this car will have Opti-Coat Pro+ and Opti-Glass Pro on it soon enough.
