Volkswagen Alltrack

Well, the time as come for a new vehicle for myself and the family. The A4 was a fantastic vehicle and it will be missed but we wanted to lower monthly expenses and gain some extra room inside for the family and the pup. The 2017 Alltrack fit the bill perfectly and we were able to get it in Pure White with a manual transmission. I got right to work by adding Lamin-x film in yellow to the fog lamps and doing a thorough decontamination wash and then sealed it with Opti-Coat Hyper Seal. I also cleaned and coated all of the exterior glass with Opti-Glass Pro, providing two years of chemical and water resistance. Soon, the car will have a Lamin-x clear bra, door cup film, headlamp film, and Opti-Coat Pro+.

Volkswagen Golf R

Alex's Golf R is back once again for an Optimum No Rinse bath and Opti-Seal sealant. While his car was in, I gave his Rotiform wheels a good cleaning and waxing to help keep the brake dust off the wheels since they are super hard to clean. His aspherical mirrors that were on the car when I coated the car were aftermarket and were starting to pit, as the aftermarket ones do. He recently replaced them with OEM so I coated them while the car was in with Opti-Glass Pro to match the rest of the glass on the car. Protection to the max!

I finally got the Summer tires mounted on the Summer wheels, which are coated with Optimum Gloss Coat. Keeping that brake dust from bonding easy is the key!

Volkswagen Golf R - Coating

Time for the fourth generation of Golf R to appear in my garage for a cleaning! Janine brought her Mk4, I have a Mk5, Eric brought his Mk6 twice, and now Alex's Mk7. If you don't know anything about Golf R32s and Rs, just know that they are limited in production and that they usually have every option available from the factory. This makes them the most expensive in the trim line of Golfs.

Alex was tired of waxing the car and we discussed a more permanent option. We decided on Opti-Coat Pro; this will give the Golf R five years of protection from organic matter and harmful UV rays. I will say that I was very happy with the outcome and that so was Alex. It is a good feeling to know that your investment is protected for the next several years, not months.

Volkswagen Golf R32 - Coating

The time has finally come to coat the #awdtaxi! I did a thorough compound and polish again, this time using Optimum's Hyper Compound and Polish before prepping for Pro+. All went really well. I even made sure the wheels and brake calipers were cleaned, prepped, and coated. I also re-applied Opti-Glass coating for better protection and applied it to the front windshield for the first time. The depth and shine that I can see in the Candy White is astounding. Definitely a new beast!
